Deborah May is the newest member of Team Fuhrmeister. She is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and after high school went on to receive her BSN from Troy University. After receiving her nursing degree, Deborah worked as an RN in Intensive Care Units and the Emergency Department. She also spent a year as a hospice care nurse. After nearly two decades as a Registered Nurse, Deborah decided to go back to school to obtain her Masters of Nursing which she received in 2000. Ms. May has been a Nurse Practitioner in the ER, Urgent Care, Family Practice, and Pain Management for 21 years. Her overall nursing and provider experience includes Cardiology, Urgent Care, Family Practice, ER, and ICU. Deborah is Board Certified in Family Practice Medicine.
Deborah has 2 fur babies, Shelby and Haley. In her free time, Deborah, enjoys playing with her dogs, hiking, reading, and meditation. She is passionate about people and health care and aims to provide the best care possible for her patients.
