Denna Hunter joined Tallahassee Neurological Clinic in 2019. She graduated with her registered nurse degree from Southwest Georgia Technical College in 2010. She started her nursing career at Tallahassee Memorial’s Bixler Emergency Center where she worked as an ER/ trauma nurse and various other roles including Assistant Nurse Manager, and nurse educator.
She started graduate school in 2016 at Spring Arbor University and graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. She is licensed by the State of Florida as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Denna works with the stroke team and plays a vital role in providing timely and high-quality neurosurgical care for stroke patients. Her responsibilities include immediate response to all stroke patients in the hospital, and assisting with hospital rounds and consultations.
Denna grew up just outside of Chicago, Illinois until she was 8 years old. She then moved with her family to Tallahassee, FL and was a graduate of Lawton Chiles High School. She is married and has one daughter and one son. She enjoys traveling, and spending time out on the Gulf coast with her family every chance she gets.
