Aaron Bussey joined Tallahassee Neurological Clinic in 2015. Aaron received his Associate of Science in Nursing from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 2009. He then began nursing at an area hospital on the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit and then transitioned into the Intensive Care Unit. While working as an intensive care nurse, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas University in 2012.
Aaron continued to work as an intensive care nurse while he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He went on to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Aaron is currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Florida and Georgia and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
After obtaining his master’s, he worked as a Nurse Practitioner with a local nephrology group, before finding an interest in neurosurgery.
Aaron works with Dr. Adam Oliver and provides timely and high-quality neurosurgical care for his patients. His responsibilities include assisting with patient evaluations, hospital rounds and consultations, first-assist in surgery, post-operative care and follow-up visits, and counseling patients and their families throughout their time in the clinic’s care.
Aaron is a South Georgia native and grew up around the Tallahassee area. He is an Eagle Scout, loves the outdoors as well as hunting and fishing. He is married and has a daughter.
